WATERFLOW PADDLING

This year we are so proud to offer a range of courses for beginners at the Vancouver Whitewater Club Festival in Chilliwack, BC. We have two courses on both the Saturday and Sunday of the festival, operated by WaterFlow Paddlig Staff.

Here are the courses available by us at the festival:

"Where it all Begins" is exactly what you need to experience paddling for a newbie. We will develop basic skills in a boat and give you tools which will let you decide whether a hobbie on the water is right for you. If you want to learn the basics with some passionate people sign up. You won't regret it. Come and have fun in a boat with WaterFlow.

This is "where it all begins" . . .

Back in 2006 the Owner, Josh Askew took his 1st course and ventured into a Kayak. His life as he knew it had changed forever. Stepping forward and climbing into that kayak soon developed an love for the water and paddlesports.

Do you want to learn how to paddle? Have no idea where to start? Maybe you have kayaked on your own and now it's time to learn some basic fundemental skills? Then the "Where it all Begins" course is for you!

Our aim of this course is to coach you through the fundemental flat water skills creating a foundation from which you can build your paddling knowledge

"Safety in a Nutshell" - Foundation Safety and Rescue Course is designed to create an understanding of safe practices and rescue techniques to be used by recreational and professional paddlers. This course is not specific to craft because we believe a foundation knowledge base should be learnt to develop an greater understanding of safe paddling.

With technical knowledge, practical learning and scenario based coaching you will learn how to be safe and offer aid if required. We are passionately about creating safe paddling environments for people to enjoy water around the world.

The objective of this training course is to teach simple and safe skills that can provide the tools to problem solve simple common paddling scenarios in flat/sheltered water regardless of the craft.
