Why should I join the VWC?

What better way is there to meet like minded people than through an organization that promotes your interests? The VWC offers a schedule that runs for 7 months of the year with river days, road trips, festivals and socials.

For beginners we offer pool and river training sessions, a series of easier trips with a progression of difficulty throughout the year. The club has been around helping people learn to paddle whitewater for over 40 years!!

For for experienced or new paddlers to our area: trips on new rivers and people to paddle with who know the runs.
What do I get for my membership money?

The club subsidies courses for volunteers, these courses may be but are not limited to First-Aid, Swift water rescue and instructor certification.

Access to all the club gear; Boats, Paddles, Helmets..

We subsidize the camping and often provide meals on the more popular club socials.

Access to the lower and upper Seymour river as well as the lower Mamquam for beginner training.

Discounts at local retailers!!

How does the club spend my money?

Supporting many conservation and access issues through donation and assistance.

Club insurance for club trips and events.

Subsidize the yearly Chilliwack club social event.

Subsidize camping on select club trips / events.

Maintaining a fleet of gear for all club members to use and borrow with no extra fees!!!
